Ottawa's Latest Vegan Restaurant Will Have You Craving For More
Located in Little Italy in a modest residential side street with no sign of the restaurant’s name outside, one would wonder if they are at the right place. Do not let this deceive you! Alice offers its patrons an eight-course tasting menu by renowned Ottawa chef Briana Kim who previously operated Café my House, another successful restaurant in Ottawa. Following in the steps of another Ottawa award winning restaurant L'Atelier, customers are only presented with the menu at the end of their meal in order to allow your five senses to guess what meal you enjoyed.
Enjoy a Delicious Meal With An Amazing View
Although situated in the penthouse of an apartment tower on St Laurent Boulevard, don't let the location of this restaurant fool you. Despite a limited menu, which mostly focuses on game meat, the offering is original and designed as contemporary Canadian by Chef Ryan Edwards. Next time you are in the neighborhood and your stomach starts growling, make sure to stop by at this restaurant and enjoy the stunning view. P.S. Try to book your seating around sunset!
Due to the current pandemic, the grand opening of this restaurant has been delayed. I am positive they will be serving delectable food later this year. Located in the downtown core, Aiana will focus on international cooking. Their head chef Raghav has worked in Bangkok, Sweden and the U.S. and now brings his extensive cooking knowledge to the National Capital. Aiana is advertised as a Canadian farm-to-table restaurant. Their dishes will feature diverse flavours and nuances found in Canada.
